Nana was a peddler who went door-to-door selling haberdashery and bed linen. Immigrating to Australia. After the war my parents decided to leave the kibbutz and move to Australia. I desperately wanted to stay and even found foster parents to look after me in the kibbutz. The world has been waking up—in no small part due to the role of alternative media that has been breaking down Israel’s hold on the country’s narrative, and the inability of the international community to turn a blind eye to Israel’s increasingly desperate and audacious attacks. I am convinced that when change does arrive, there are many reasons to think that the impact on both Israel and Judaism will be in a positive direction.
