The Geophysics Program supports basic research in the physics of the solid earth to explore its composition, structure, and processes from the Earth's surface to its' deepest interior. Lectures two hours a week, laboratory three hours a week, tutorial one hour per week, and a field excursion. The subject has a wide range of practical applications including searching for new energy sources and mineral resources, or studying locations for civil engineering projects, such as offshore wind farms.
